Charity BorProject Officer

Charity is involved with monitoring and evaluation of project progress in the One Safe Drop Initiative. She holds Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Egerton University and Masters of Science in Project Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

She is currently an associate expert with the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA). Has previously worked with Water programme in Catholic Diocese of Nakuru in the Quality Control department as a technologist and therefore understands the importance of safe water consumption.

Charity is passionate about imparting knowledge to communities through capacity building initiatives. Her research interests are in advocating for safe water use by communities through defluoridation by locally available technologies for instance Bone char technology.

Andrew Ndai, Technical Manager (Engineering & Innovations)

Andrew is the Lead Technical Engineer and handles all the technical operations, as well as planning, coordinating and managing activities off & on-sites. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental & Biosystems Engineering, majoring in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Nairobi.

He has practiced as a Graduate Consultant Engineer in the fields of Water, Sanitation, Irrigation, Drainage & Environmental Engineering under reputable engineering consultancy firms such as Gibb Africa, Gedo Associates & Quadrant Engineering Consultants. The works herein involved Preparation of Fieldwork, Feasibility Study and Detailed Design Reports; Preparation of Detailed Drawings for Construction, Bill of Quantities, Tender Documents and Supervision Plan.

He has also worked as a client service management executive & digital marketing director for experiential marketing campaigns/projects for various blue chip corporate clientele. Under leadership & service to the community, he has served as the National President (CoR) & Under Secretary General for the Kenya Model United Nations.

His immense love for the community and engineering, motivate him to ensure that he is part of the team that seeks to provide solutions to problems that are facing mankind. He is excited to contribute in making AfricAqua the leading partner in Safe Water technology in Kenya & Africa as a whole, with the use of sustainable water technologies, coupled with engineering innovations.

David Mwaura, Communications Manager

David Mwaura holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media technology, with IT  majoring in Public Relations from Maseno University.

As a student in Maseno University, he served as news reporter and editor for the institution’s publication, EquatorWeekly a role he also played at Kenya News Agency (KNA), Nyeri bureau as an intern.

He is passionate about poverty alienation and disaster management and therefore intends to apply his communication skills in urging people to consider drinking Safe Water to avoid waterborne diseases.

James Muli, Accounting  Officer

James Muli is a CPA (K) graduate from Visions Institute of Professionals. He is also a member of the Institute of Public Accountants Of Kenya (ICPAK).

Prior to his work at AfricAqua, Muli has worked at the Ministry of Industrialization and Co-operative development as an audit trainee. He has also served as an Accountant at a transport co-operative society.

Muli intends to use his accounting skills and expertise to make AfricAqua Limited more productive and competitive.

Joyce Nduta, Project Manager

Joyce holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Development from Moi University.

Prior to her role at AfricAqua, she worked as a field and monitoring officer at District Development Office, Njoro. She has also worked as interim principal at Likia Secondary School in Likia, Nakuru County.

Joyce is passionate about giving back to the community she lives in through helping people with great ideas to move from one level to the other. As a project manager at AfricAqua, she intends to bring about cohesiveness in the team she works with, to bring about positive growth in the company.

Caroline Gatwiri, Human Resource Manager

Caroline Gatwiri holds a Diploma in Horticulture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology, Advanced Diploma in Project Management from Catholic University, Bachelor of Business Management from Mount Kenya University and Masters in Business Administration Majoring in Human Resource from Kenyatta University.

Prior to her role at AfricAqua, Caroline worked as a Farm Operations Manager at Chris Harries Horticultural Limited, Project Officer at Green Globe Foundation and as Human Resource Manager at Ecotact Limited.

Through the application of her skills in business management, Caroline is dedicated to work closely with the AfricAqua team to ensure that the company achieves its goals.
